Details

Magna Montis means “Big Mountain” in Latin, referring to The Andes, the longest mountain Range in the world and home of their wines.
In Argentina, growing vines at high altitudes is one of their trademarks in winemaking – a philosophy that guides each of the winery’s vintages year after year. Magna Montis values the importance of their living ecosystem, and considers them crucial in their unique style of wines.
Vines grow in the high altitude (1.000 to 1.700 m.a.s.l.) regions of Uco Valley on an alluvial soilbed of limestone. Melting water from the Andes flows directly to the vineyards, free from pollution and completely natural.
Magna Montis wants their wines to be as ‘naked’ as possible, expressing the place where they come from. Grapes are manually harvested, low intervention winemaking is practising and wines are spontaneously fermented with native yeasts.
